What is MAC QUARTERLY

MAC Quarterly (Movement Across Color) is a publication that has been put together with the wonderful support from it's readers, to be dedicated to highlighting the best of contemporary fine art and photography in the USA and beyond.

We live once in this beautiful yet mysterious world and through every individual journey, there is always a picture of a story to tell and share with the rest of the world. Unlike many other photography publications we tend to focus less on the equipment but more on the technique, the inspiration and the message contained within each photograph.

4.12.2010 - Photograph your country

Photograph your country
There are few things that evoke emotion so quickly as a beautiful photograph. It might be a grinning child whose eyes show pure joy. It might be a setting sun behind a field of wheat waving in the evening breeze. It might be a busy city scene in some place like new york or london or even a thistle.

A simple photo of a flower or even a thistle.... points out something that we should all already know: There's beauty all around us in the country and mostly wherever you look you will find something of beauty. It is everywhere and we should stop and take notice. ive been down those country roads and I know it is beautiful there. I've been to many towns and cities where i find something equally as beautiful. I look forward to the day when i'll be able to do that again and travel down some country roads or through a golden archway of trees.

In other words, show us what's beautiful to you in your life. For the rest of you... the clock is ticking. Send in your photos and you just might find yourself printed in our next publication. Good luck!
